The Global Network of World Health Organization Collaborating Centers is a community of nursing and midwifery leaders which partners with leading public health organizations around the world. The mission of the Global Network is to promote Health For All – achieving universal health coverage - through the collaboration, communication, and cohesion of the nursing and midwifery global community and its partners. The Secretariat for the Global Network of WHO Collaborating Centers for Nursing & Midwifery is located at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. There are currently 44 centers within the Global Network.

The Faculty of Nursing at Chiang Mai University was designated a WHO Collaborating Center for Nursing and Midwifery Development (WHO CC#203) in September 2003. Since our designation, we regularly provide consultation to government agencies and conduct trainings to strengthen health care systems and to build capacity among nurses and midwives across East, South, and Southeast Asia.
